Age a little more than a week and weight a little more than one kilogram

Labour day went quietly beside the puppy crates, or more specifically, it went on the sofa between the puppy rooms watching TV.

Last weekend I seriously thought that can gluttony be inherited? ;) The little Indians were eating too much the whole last weekend and over eating was, of course, causing some stomach pain and then the little Indians were whining and crying. We got the situation solved by taking Thyra out from the puppy room so that the Indians wouldn’t eat continuously and now the puppies are eating normally again. But I was thinking if gluttony can be inherited as this very same has happened to our litters earlier, as a small puppy Thyra sometimes ate too much, in Thyra’s last litter there was one who used to eat too much and now we had two that were eating too much. Thyra’s mother Zogi is also very greedy as well is Thyra :)
Little Emmi-girl has protested over the weekend, probably seeking for attention, although we have tried to give both Emmi and Aatu more attention than usual. Emmi begun over the weekend, as soon as our eyes avoided, to use our bed as her toilet. So, the only option currently is to keep the bedroom door closed which, of course, is a bummer on Aatu’s behalf because he likes to sleep on our bed or underneath the bed. Emmi’s other idea is to jump on the kitchen table, which of course, is not allowed. She has also started to steal things from tables which is not so nice either. We need to figure out something that she will stop with these things.

The little Indians have now for a few days been practicing to walk but yet is very wiggly. The ears are little by little starting to “open” and you can notice that they already can hear very loud noises, like to other dog barking. Also the barbet ears are starting to open but they can’t yet hear anything or if they do, they don’t show it. The barbets are still crawling, no intentions on starting to learn how to walk.

Both litters have gained weight excellently, all barbets being more than one kilogram now and three out of four Spanish waterdogs being more than one kilogram.

The barbets weigh now:

The little Indians weigh now:
Brown male 1065 gr
Black male 1170 gr
Brown girl 1010 gr
Brown little girl 805 gr

I have today started the registration process at the Finnish Kennelclub and the official names of the puppies will be:

When we were breeding rottweilers we followed the alphabet but now with the waterdogs we have had different themes and we continue with that.
